How To Make Stain

Home Made Stain

To Make stain you will need the following products:

• Artist color tubes or powder pigments
• Boiled Linseed Oil or Tung oil will work also.
• Mineral Spirits or Paint Thinner.

If your using the oil based artist color, then you do not need to add the boiled linseed. At the factory they added it already. Just mix it with mineral spirits or paint thinner.

I will be using Earths Pigment Light Sienna and Natural Black

Introductory French Pigment

I added about 3 1/2 spoons of light Sienna and 2 1/2 spoons of Natural Black

 Then I added 1-tsp of boiled linseed oil.

I also added mineral spirit or paint thinner.  You can add more pigment if you want more stronger color. You can add more mineral spirit if you want lighter color. It's up to you. 
Mix well.

Filter it Clean in separate container.

And Stain. 
Voilà!!!
